Velvet Bean

Awesome-looking up-cycled coffee-bean-bag pillow from Velvet Bean. Sweet.

Winter Project: One

Three yards of this lovely cotton fabric is on its way to my home to help me start this year's Winter Project: a tablecloth. Simple, but a fun way to help me get back in the swing of sewing. Plus, it'll look great on a table in our future home with some bright flowers as a centerpiece.

Locket Love

I have always wanted a locket. A little-girl dream of mine. I was perusing Etsy this evening and found a gold vintage locket with my future initials on it...which makes me love it even more!

Book cover designs, like these cloth hardcovers by Coralie Bickford-Smith, are b.e.a.utiful. Though all of the above classics are wonderful on the inside as well. Sigh. I love reading...

Timeless

I love old things, but I especially love old clocks. They don't just represent time, but they represent history. This giant one is from Target and made to look old, but I always keep my out for clocks that look like this at yard sales and antique stores. Big or small. I haven't found the perfect one yet, but when I do it'll be a very productive day.

Warehouse Fabrics

Big fan of fabrics from Warehouse Fabrics, Inc. Purchased samples, now I just have to make up my mind on which ones to experiment with first. My childhood love for sewing has returned gradually over the past few years...now, at nearly 23, I just have to relearn how to steer that needle as accurately as I used to at age 12.

Mr. and Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. salt and pepper shakers from Anthropologie. Love: The store, but mostly the Mr. and Mrs. part.

Not sure what's going on yet

So. I have no idea why I'm creating another blog. For real. I barely maintain my other one(s). But, here goes round number 3.

I'm all for experimenting.

Let's do some design.
